What is Tea Beauty?

The term “tea beauty” is a phrase I coined to define the trend of tea infused beauty products. This trend is not new but with renewed interest, TEA is at the forefront of a health and beauty craze. So, it’s no surprise that beauty products infused with tea are becoming more and more popular. In my efforts to champion tea culture, PRET-A-PORTEA makes it a point to align itself with beauty brands that support this company initiative.

And what better way to continue our quest for a tea way of life than to partner with renowned perfumer JO MALONE LONDON. Together, we help you imagine how the scent of a tea and/or a fragrance can become a long-time signature through every aspect of your life. We explored tea-based beauty, by sipping teas with flavor profiles that mirror the fragrance notes that

JO MALONE LONDON is known for.

With the help of Dammann Frères we mimicked the fragrance notes from JO MALONE LONDON’s Citrus, Floral and Rare Tea Collections. Dammann Frères , one of my absolute favorites is a luxury tea brand founded by brothers Pierre and Robert Dammann, in 1925. But

the Dammann legacy started much earlier, in 1692 under reign of King Louis XIV of France.

It's still a surprise to some, that France has a very similar history and affection for tea as England.

I discovered the Dammann Frères shop during a Paris Walking Tour in the Marais District. The Place des Vosges square was the starting point for this walk in the Marais, and one of the most charming historical districts of the capital, housing the renowned Dammann Frères.

Since 2007, Dammann Frères has been a part of the Illy Group, an Italian coffee roasting company that specializes in the production of espresso. Many thanks to Gordana Cavlina,

JO MALONE LONDON Business Manager at BERGDORF GOODMAN and her fantastic team for an overview of the world of JO MALONE LONDON and for joining us in our quest to discover the many sensorial pleasures of tea.
